18th Birthday Preview

Hi everyone! I've been in a hiatus for more than a month !!! Summer classes are so demanding plus I just turned 18 last Monday! Yay! The thing is I'll be celebrating it this coming Sunday so I've been very busy 'cause I'm organizing the creative parts of my party: from the invitation to tarpaulin to the program itself, I can't seem to have a break! But then I had time to do these pre-debut shoots before this Sunday. And I also want to acknowledge the photographer, Erika Mitra! If you only knew, we only talked about this overnight then.. ta-daa!!! This was shot inside her boarding house full of vintage murals. My theme is retro and it really fits! I just did my make-up and the styling and we're on the run!

Here are some of the photos:

Me and Eric Clapton !!!

We started the shoot after watching Sugarfree music videos. Erika and I were classmates in Pol Sci 11 and guess what? Yes, it was Sir Jal Taguibao's class! We had our last day of class last Tuesday so we spent much time expressing how we liked the band and then we shared our interests. That is! Erika's involved in photography!

This one's unedited. To think this was a small corridor and with only limited light! Erika really knows how to do it!

So far.... this is my favorite shot! She taught me how to "smile naturally" here. And look at the lighting! We're not using any lighting equipment yet!! And look at Bob Marley here!!!

Talk about graffiti, huh?

Hype this look on Lookbook
Fave this on Chictopia

This was taken inside her room. When I first entered her room I was amazed by The Beatles mural!! Hahaha XD Who wouldn't huh? So I pleaded to take picture with Lenon and friends! Even if we had to take away all her stuff on the table!!!

We used her study lamp for these photos. Yellow light really looks good and vintage-y. And those books. Remember the time when we really read books, not e-books.

"Baka magtampo si Paul" (Paul might get jealous) 'Cause I just wanted to take pics with John Lennon!
Sepia tone made it look dramatically old. Haha!

And I like to end this post with a picture with Sir Jal, me and Erika! Yay! They made my birthday season very special and memorable! Thank you!!!

'Til next!

MoMo =)
